This exciting opportunity places you at the forefront of promoting greater competition and innovation in vital digital markets, such as online search, social media, app stores, and online marketplaces, directly benefiting people, businesses and the UK economy.

As a Director of Digital Markets, you will lead and contribute to the implementation of the new digital markets competition regime being introduced through the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill, as part of the Digital Markets Unit within the CMA.

Your leadership will be critical in investigating how digital markets work and assessing the extent of current and future market power held by key firms, setting rules for digital firms, monitoring compliance, and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. You will work closely with the CMA’s Data and Technology Analytics unit to maintain cutting-edge insights into digital markets. Your role will involve horizon-scanning, strategic thinking, and building a culture of continuous improvement within the DMU and the wider CMA. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital markets and ensure they operate fairly and efficiently.
